SAMITE brand talcum powder are mainly applied for Base Coat and Intermediate Coat, it would bring positive effects in Precipitate ability and Re-coating ability, further strengthen the Adhesive force and Solvent Resistance. For Water-based latex paint,SAMITE brand powder would bring positive effect for Brush ability,Levelling property and Gloss retention, which ensure coating&painting with good impact resistance, another effect is to improve corrosion resistance and dryness of coating.

1.Structure of talcum powder is a key influential factor to performance of coating the majority of talcum powder are in Fibroid and Piece very less percentage are in granulate. Fibroid structure used to be a good material for durability improvement in outdoor painting but the fibroid structure cannot assure its liquidity in coating and out of flatness of film if add fibroid talcum powder.

2. SAMITE brand talcum powder is 100% in Piece Structure which would bring positive effect in Brush ability Levelling property Film flatness Gloss retention etc better lubricity performance of coating will also be imparted by the powder.
It is noteworthy that most impurities of talc are not in Piece structure. We therefore recommend our client to consider Ignition Loss (1000℃)as an important evidence to determine the purity of talc.

3. Grain size is a major considerable factor to performance of coating different grain size is fit to different application:talcum powder from Hegman 0 (100um) to 4 usually applied for Rough coating and indented coating (eg. Interior wall paint base coat and wrinkle finish); from Hegman 4 to 5 usually applied for house paint; Hegman 5 to 7 (Super fine)usually applied as control agent for glossiness consistence and flow performance of semi-gloss finish.
